Indonesia Dive Holidays
North Sulawesi Dive Holidays
One of the world’s best yet least known dive destinations.
North Sulawesi Dive Holidays offers a year-round diving with excellent average visibility (25m) and home to many unusual species, for example the prehistoric fish ‘coelacanth’ as well as reef shark, turtles, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, even dugong and orca! Most sites are reached within one hour from your hotel and yet the remote location means they’re never crowded.
Most of the reefs of the Bunaken National Marine Park are rich and unspoilt, with pristine and abundant soft coral and fish life. The night diving is spectacular and there’s a WWII wreck.
Flights & Transfers
Fly to Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi. The most direct route is via Singapore on Singapore Air with three departures every day from Heathrow and one flight every day from Manchester to Singapore. Flight time is approximately 12 hours. If you take a morning flight it’s possible to connect straight through to Manado with a short transit in Singapore.
Silk Air, the regional wing of Singapore Air, flies four times a week between Singapore and Manado; every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Flight time is 3.5 hours.
You can also fly to Manado via Jakarta with several airlines – ask us for the best deals. Flight time is approximately 12 hours.
There are daily direct domestic flights between Jakarta and Manado on several airlines including Garuda Indonesia. Transit time in Jakarta varies and can be lengthy, depending on your international flight arrival time. Flight time to Manado is approximately 3 hours. Garuda Indonesia currently offers a free excess baggage allowance for sport equipment.
The road transfer from Manado Airport to the resorts is in air-conditioned vehicles and takes approximately 1½ – 2 hours.
