North Sulawesi Dive Resorts
Lembeh Resort
An exclusive dive resort in the heart of the Lembeh Strait, Lembeh Resort is an oceanfront property on the west coast of Lembeh Island, nestled in a private cove that is surrounded by lush rainforest.
Lembeh Resort’s secluded location ensures guests a relaxing stay. Tropical gardens and exotic fauna form a natural backdrop, while luxury and elegance come as standard.
Westerly views of ancient extinct volcanoes and spectacular sunsets await but the treasures of Lembeh Strait underwater are the main attraction here. The area’s sheer abundance of biodiversity and rare critters has led to it being named the ‘Critter Capital of the World.’
Lembeh Resort offers the perfect opportunity to combine incredible diving with warm hospitality, tropical beauty and more than a little indulgence.

Highlights of Lembeh dive sites include 8 different species of frogfish, 12 species of octopus, numerous crustacean species that cannot be found anywhere else on earth, 3 species of pygmy seahorse, countless nudibranch species and new discoveries are continuously being made. Some of Lembeh’s most iconic species include the hairy frogfish, Pontohi pygmy seahorse, wonderpus and mimic octopus, mandarinfish, rhinopias scorpionfish, flamboyant cuttlefish, blue ring octopus, Banggai cardinalfish and the list goes on.
Lembeh also offers many combination sites which are a mix of muck and reef diving so if muck is not your thing, don’t worry, because Lembeh also has stunning reefs, vibrant corals and intriguing topographies.
The Dive Centre, Critters at Lembeh Resort, has marine biologists, a full time photo pro, and a team of underwater photography and marine biology trained dive guides. The Backscatter authorized photo centre is located in the heart of the resort, and a spacious designated camera room is just a few steps from the boats. All dive guides undergo intensive training programs, which include critter and underwater photography training, so you can rest assured that you are in the hands of professionals.
Dive groups are small so that you will receive a more personal service underwater and both private guide and private boat options are available for those who want a more exclusive experience.
