Tasik Ria Resort
A comfortable diver’s resort that is ideally situated for exploring the western fringes of the Bunaken National Marine Park.
This family run resort puts great emphasis on comfort, simplicity and good value, where the management have a personal and friendly approach making your stay a welcoming one.
Tasik Ria Resort makes the most of its natural green surroundings and seafront. The jetty bar, at the end of the long dive jetty, is the perfect place for a sundowner after your day’s diving.
Hotel Services / Facilities: The resort’s rustic-style rooms and facilities are attractively scattered amongst the landscaped grounds, a short distance from the seafront, on the northwest coast of North Sulawesi.
There are two swimming pools: one lagoon-style with a swim-up bar, and the other a smaller, children’s pool. The attentive staff offer a 24-hour reception and room service, as well as money exchange and a laundry service (extra charge). A large open plan reception area offers lounge seating with space to relax. Free WiFi is available in certain areas of the resort.
Tasik Ria Resort boasts its own excellent house reef and an on-site dive centre. The Matana Spa is popular with guests wanting to try out traditional Indonesian treatments to relax after a diving day.
Food, Beverage & Entertainment Facilities: The chefs at Tasik Ria pride themselves on a menu that offers a fusion of East and West, with both local and western cuisine available in the restaurant. BBQ nights and themed buffets are also sometimes available.
Breakfast is normally served at the Jetty Grill, setting the tone for the day’s diving. The Jetty Bar is the ideal spot for a drink at the end of the day. There is also a pool bar which serves a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks all day long for those who decide to take it easy and relax by the freeform pool.
Transfers: Manado’s airport, the international gateway to North Sulawesi, is Sam Ratulangi Airport (code MDC) and is situated around 1 hour’s drive from Tasik Ria Resort.
Tasik Ria Resort’s 36 rooms are arranged in three categories to suit all tastes and requirements.
The Pool View Rooms are conveniently situated around the large freeform freshwater swimming pool on the ground and first floor. Some have inter-connecting doors, ideal for families.
The Sea View Cottages look out onto the beachfront, affording a beautiful view where the spectacular early evening sunsets can really be enjoyed. These Cottages are ideal for couples. They offer a hybrid option of indoor bathroom with outdoor shower.
The Grand Sea View Cottages offer a larger 12sqm outdoor bathroom, vaulted ceilings and more room space. This is generally the most popular accommodation choice.
All rooms are air-conditioned with en-suite showers. Telephone, fridge, cable with flatscreen TV, coffee/tea facilities and daily drinking water are standard. A laundry service is also available.

The dive centre is managed by the highly experienced Tasik Divers team who have operated since 2009. This is PADI 5 Star resort offers fully guided diving from two purpose built day boats.
The dive boats have a large dive platform with ladder, plus full safety and navigation equipment. Each boat has a covered dining area, large sun deck, WC and can take 15 guests comfortably. An onboard chef and kitchen ensures lunch is hot, and that snacks after the third dive are fresh and delicious.
The resort is less than half an hour by boat from the western part of the Bunaken National Marine Park, and 70 minutes from Bunaken Island itself. Day trips offer divers a variety of wall, macro and muck diving opportunities. The western part of Bunaken is less visited but much celebrated. Tanjung Kelapa, in particular, is situated just 20 minutes from the resort and is said to have some of the richest marine biodiversity in the area.
An enviable house reef, also accessed by a quick one minute boat ride, offers plenty of critter spotting and is so well regarded that it is often visited by day boats from other resorts.
The diver/guide ratio is 4:1 whenever possible giving personal service across all dive experience levels and abilities. Special day trips to dive the Lembeh Strait’s fabulous muck diving sites can also be arranged. Diving Bangka is ideal for those who want a different scene to Bunaken – please ask the centre for availability.
The Centre also offers a range of PADI training courses.
Tasik Divers believe in giving back to nature and local society by job creation and career development for local staff. They encourage ecological awareness and sustainability and organise field trips and beach clean-ups locally.
Please note: Diving with knives and gloves is not permitted in the Bunaken National Marine Park.
