Pharoah Dive Club based at the award winning Roots Resort, is a well run PADI 5 * IDC , with an English / Egyptian team who are highly qualified, professional and attentive and who will ensure that every diver has the safest and most memorable stay.

For a long time El Quseir has been overlooked by divers in favour of the more popular resorts further north, however the pristine sites which surround this area offer unique and varied diving close to the shore. The Reefs are uncrowded and make the diving experience all the more enjoyable. Pharoah Dive centre with the use of a Hard Day boat will also organise dive excursions to the further offshore dive sites including Elphinstone Reef and further north the Wreck of the Salem Express. Explore the numerous, pristine coral gardens, off shore ergs, pinnacles and sea grass meadows plus extensive cavern systems. Here you will find a large diversity of marine life including moray, blue spotted stingrays, lion fish, porcupine fish, crocodile fish, squirrel fish, sea snakes as well as large pelagics and occasionally white tip or guitar shark.

House Reef Dives, RIB dives and Hard (day) boat dives are available at the resort.
Unlimited house reef diving – like taking your time rather than be guided? Taking underwater photos? Choose this option, but remember to take your buddy too!
PADI Dive courses are available, with the added comfort of being able to do training dives directly off the resort’s beach.

Après Dive

The small town of El Quseir, 14 km South of Roots Camp is the closest settlement but visitors to Roots Camp usually tend to stay on site and enjoy all that the Award winning resort has to offer.

Flights & Transfers

You have a range of flight options for reaching El Quseir. One choice is to fly into Hurghada Airport, which offers UK regional departures, and then take a transfer that covers the 120km journey to your resort. Alternatively, you can opt for a direct flight to Marsa Alam Airport, which is conveniently located just 85km from your destination.

The flight takes a little over 5 hours and the transfer on the ground is between 1 ½ to 2 Hours.
